Well, after doing some thinking, I have decided to try hosting my own blog on my website. I pay a pretty penny for this site, don’t really use the bandwidth nor the space. So, I may be moving my post from my LiveJournal over here, as well as my photos. That would make it easier for people to come to this site. Also, it will save me a little bit of money from paying for LJ when I am paying more for my own site.
For my “geeky” friends: the blog is running WordPress 2.5, and the photo gallery (nothing there yet) is running Zenphoto 1.1.5. I have the ability to add other users on the site, but don’t know it that option will be used at the moment (maybe I can get Dad blogging). Both the blog and photo gallery have RSS feeds (If you don’t know what that is, don’t worry about it).
The two downsides are: 1) I lose the text messaging (only one person has sent one), and 2) I lose the integration that LJ has with my photo gallery.
